Celebrating its 127th birthday this year, York International was founded in 1874 in the United States in Pennsylvania in a small town called York. Since its modest origin, it has become the largest, independent manufacturer of air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems as well as industrial refrigeration equipment in the world. York International today stretches the span of the globe and is a true multi-national corporation, employing over 25,000 employees. It possesses manufacturing, service, marketing and sales organizations situated in over 100 countries throughout the world. Specifically, York has over 23 manufacturing facilities located in 19 different countries. Over the years, York equipment has been supplied to the leading companies engaged in the following activities: Food Processing, Beverages, Oil and Gas, Transportation, International and National Cultural Centres, Institutional Banks, Hospitals, both Summer and Winter Sport Complexes. Of the aforementioned, several of the most well-known projects successfully fulfilled by York are: Capital Building, Pentagon as well as the World Trade Center in the United States; Parliament Building and National Gallery in the United Kingdom; La Scala Opera House in Italy; Sydney Opera House in Australia; National Library in China; Kremlin and Bolshoy Theatre in Russia. York International is compromised of 3 seperate operating divisions, each driven by the requirements of their respective customers and each focused on providing superior, up-to-date technologies to provide the value-added customers in today's marketplace require.
